No matter who you are, what you have or have not done, you absolutely, positively DO have the power to change yourself.

Easier said than done though, right?

We've all set a series of grandiose, mental or fitness goals, only to have them fall to the way-side because “life” got in the way.

Trust me, it has happened to me more times than I can count.

Time gets away. It's easy to put your needs on the sidelines to build a career or take care of others… all the while telling yourself the same, worn out story… “I’ll get to it tomorrow”.

What if I can help turn your “tomorrows" into “todays”?

What if, through individual or small group sessions, I could filter out all the “fluff” other fitness classes offer and get right to the core of what will help you achieve those grandiose goals?

This is why I created Defying Time Fitness. While most fitness programs offer out-of-the box, one size fits all classes, I take a much more customized approach: utilizing my expertise to help the individual, not teach a “program”.

With my decades of teaching and personal practices in the art of fluid movement, I have learned that each person is different. My individual and small group classes are a true reflection of my decades of life altering dedication to movement.

I offer one-to-one classes either done in person or through Zoom.

I also provide small group classes, also in person or though Zoom.

No matter what direction you wish to go, I want to be your guide though this journey of Defying Time with Movement.

My studio is fully stocked with everything we need- mats, balls, Oovs, bands, weights, blankets, bolsters and other miscellaneous tools. The only thing you need to bring is a desire to improve your quality of life.

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS - 2 SESSION PACKAGE - INITIAL CONSULTATION AND ASSESSMENT  - $195

Our first session will run 60 minutes and include:

Before our next session I will review your videos, make notes about what I see and come up with a list of exercises to help disrupt and improve any movement patterns where we see an opportunity to improve movement efficiency.

Our second session will run 75 minutes and will include:

Restorative Yoga - 75 minute class In studio $20, Online $15

We have been doing this class online since Covid, Tuesday nights at 6:30. I do have room and props for 2 people in studio or you can join us online. If you do online you will need to gather props. There is a video under “Free Resources - Fertility Yoga” that will show you how you can use things around the house for props. Once you fall in love you may buy your own bolster.

We start this class laying down and checking in with your body and the entire class is done on the floor. The next 30 minutes is spent doing a Somatic movement practice - small gentle movements to remind the body how to move. From there we move into the traditional Restorative poses where you will stay in a pose for 5 to 15 minutes. The beauty of doing this from home is not having to drive while experiencing what students have referred to as their “yoga drunk”. I encourage you to spend the time after class relaxing - no jumping up and cleaning the kitchen.

There is a Spanish proverb I love to use - “how beautiful it is rest and do nothing afterward”.
